AWEsome Retreat is an intense educational conference for travel writers and content creators that cover theme parks as part of their niche.
Founded by Becca Robins, the owner and writer at This Crazy Adventure Called Life, we held our first event in 2019. The event was a huge success, and in 2020, we held our first mastermind, just a few weeks before the world shut down.
In 2023 - AWEsome Returns was a small in-person event PLUS offered a Virtual Access Pass for those unable to attend in person.
Now in 2024, AWEsome is going back to our roots with a slightly larger (but still intimate) event, plus the ability to join via live stream.

AWEsome Retreat was years in the making!
For years, Becca kept asking others to put on an event for those who cover theme parks. Finally, in 2018, with the push from Jessica at The Happiest Blog On Earth, Becca decided to take action and founded AWEsome Retreat.
Why AWEsome?
The AWE in AWEsome stands for Amusement park Writers Education. Since then, We have changed it to Writer and creators.
AWEsome Retreat focuses on education for those covering theme parks in their content creation. From exploring ways to provide better content for our audiences and travel partners, to learning about new offerings in the travel industry, and even exploring nearby businesses to promote to our audience - AWEsome is always looking to:
1. Elevate the theme park content creation niche with education and opportunities
2. Create a sense of community that fosters collaboration over competition
3. Support and promote businesses that align with our goals and audiences
4. Provide sponsors with quality promotion and partnerships

- Intense Educational Sessions - We hand select speakers and topics for content creators and writers who cover theme parks and travel. Have ever sat at a blogging conference only to realize it was designed for a different niche? Maybe it was crafting or recipe focused?
- Personalized Advice and Discussions - Our smaller events (2020 Mastermind and 2023 event) include "hot seats" where you are able to ask fellow attendees for help or advice on something with your business. This is an extremely powerful perk to attending our events in person. These sessions and discussions are not available via the Virtual Access Pass.
- Content Creation Opportunities - We work hard to include exclusive opportunities to our attendees that will provide them with content and expieriences to share with their audience. These opportunities may include time in theme parks, exclusive dinner events, or visiting local businesses and attractions.
